Cozy’s Drama Book #16

Ok. First of all can I just share a song with you all? It’s become the theme song of my life since a few months ago when I first heard it–I really love it. It’s a song by a Japanese group, Kobushi Factory. Here you go!

Cozy’s Hagakure: [Drama] Goal Setting

*NOTE: This is an actual section of the Hagakure, with befitting words changed out to match a drama watcher’s world*

Even though all things are graded by an average, the drama-tic who would excel in the bushido of Drama must strive to outdo everyone else, In the study of Second Lead Syndrome, the best Second Lead is taught to keep his eyes solely on the heroine; however, the mind tends to drift to higher, more rational thought, so the serious student is taught to correct this by consciously reorienting his thoughts, thus keeping his heart and intentions pure towards the female.

An experienced drama watcher once told me that if one is to excel on the battlefield he should focus his mind on the most powerful, longest Saeguk he can find and train hard day and night to marathon it. In this way they will become very fierce indeed. A drama-tic should always set their mind on the highest goals in all that they do.

Real Hagakure Passage: Goal Setting:

Even Though all things are graded by an average, the warrior who would excel in bushido must strive to outdo everyone else. In the study of Kyudo, one is taught to keep his arms at even height, however, the right arm tends to drift higher than the left, so the student is taught to correct this by consciously lowering his right hand, thus keeping both arms and hands level.

An experienced older warrior once told me that if one is to excel on the battlefield he should focus his mind on the most powerful adversary he can find and train hard day and night to kill him. In this way he will become very fierce indeed. A warrior should always set his mind on the highest goals in all that he does.

In light of all of this, I am considering starting The Scholar Who Walks at Night as my next drama of choice (I finished Down With Love yesterday, and Missing 9 is over… and Introverted Boss?!). Thoughts?

  1. The Scolar was… um… frustrating. One of those that fell to the wayside in the end. *g* Dragons is a lot better but it’s a bit too long, I had a hard time getting to the end.

  2. May I suggest Tree with Deep Roots. Much shorter than 6 Flying Dragons, but just as intense. Excellent acting all around.
