Words Challenge, Day 11

Day 11 already? Wow time flies. Today’s poem expose is a little thing, reminding me of nature’s beauty and God’s Grace. Yes, I’m talking about…

Trees, by Joyce Kilmer.

I THINK that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree.

A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
Against the sweet earth’s flowing breast;

A tree that looks at God all day,
And lifts her leafy arms to pray;

A tree that may in summer wear
A nest of robins in her hair;

Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
Who intimately lives with rain.

Poems are made by fools like me,
But only God can make a tree.

As funny as it might be to agree with Terry Pratchett on the multitude of manmade wonders, I have to admit there’s nothiang quite like God’s creations. Truly, poems and other things are made by fools like me, and we should all take a moment to appreciate the wonderful world outside our doors.

Thanks for reading,
